Continual

Continual is a reusable take out container system that works with restaurants and consumers to minimize single-use waste and elevate their take-away dining experience.

Our team was motivated by our interests in sustainability and food, but we all came from vastly different cultural backgrounds, especially when it came to food, India, the UK, France, and the USA. In discussing our own homes and our survey respondents, we quickly recognized the necessity for our service models not to be universal but adapt to local contexts on the back end. As a consumer, I’ve been able to seamlessly order take-out food all over the world, yet the systems behind each of these experiences have their own differences (transportation, employees, etc). We focused our context on an urban area in the United States that, through survey, respondents would more quickly adopt a return model. However, we gained insights from our personal experiences and conversations with Japanese students that elevated Continual from a reusable container service to a unique home dining experience.
